Contributing units and teams

The pedagigical products, or modules, are jointly developed between numerous research teams and units of the Agropolis community in close partnership with teachers from the hosting curricula.
  • AGAP, Genetic Improvement and Adaptation of Mediterranean and Tropical Plants

    Logo Unit AGAP
Agap research unit, comprising about 350 agents and which was launched on 1st January 2011. It is a joint research unit placed under the authority of three research and higher education establishments, focusing on the genetic improvement of tropical and Mediterranean plants: Cirad, Inra and Montpellier SupAgro.

  • CEFE, Centre d'Écologie Fonctionnelle & Évolutive

    Logo Unit CEFE

  • B&PMP, Biochemistry and Plant Molecular Physiology

    Logo Unit B&PMP
B&PMP (Biochemistry and Plant Molecular Physiology) is defined as an Integrative Biology research department, focused on the mechanisms of plant responses and adaptation to variable abiotic environmental conditions. These last fifteen years, B&PMP has gained a strong scientific identity by unraveling the molecular mechanisms which contribute to determine the hydro-mineral balance of plants, subjected to various abiotic stresses. This has been made possible by integrating cellular, molecular, genetic, biochemical, biophysical and physiological approaches, and mainly by using the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana.
  • DIADE, Plant Diversity, Adaptation and Development

    DIADE
DIADE research projects are aimed at understanding the nature and roles of various mechanisms underlying: - the structural and functional diversification of the genome of tropical plants, - the diversity and structure of their populations during the speciation process, and - the adaptation to environmental or human-driven changes.
  • GAFL, Genetics and breeding of fruits and vegetables

    GAFL
The GAFL Unit, Genetics and Breeding of fruit and vegetables, focuses its researches on Mediterranean species. GAFL carries out research in the fields of species diversity and domestication process, genetic and molecular basis of fruit quality, functional characterization of plant / pathogen interactions and sustainable resistance management, integration of disease resistance and quality fruit in cultivars.
  • LEPSE, Laboratoire d'écophysiologie des plantes sous stress environnementaux

    Logo Unit LEPSE
In a context of water scarcity and global climate changes, the researches at the LEPSE aim at analysing and modelling the responses of plants to drought and high temperatures as well as their genetic variability at the intra- and inter-specific levels.
